Catherine Anne
Catherine Anne O'Hara OOC (born on March 4, 1954), is a Canadian-American actress and comedian. O'Hara is the recipient of numerous prizes that include an award called a Genie Award, a Golden Globe Award as well as two Screen Actors Guild Awards, two Primetime Emmy Awards, and six Canadian Screen Awards. In the year 2018, she was named an Officer of Canada. Then, in 2020, she was presented with the Governor General's Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement award. O'Hara made her debut as an actress in 1974 when she was part of The Second City, an improv comedy group located in Toronto. Alongside John Candy (1975-1978), she was part of the main casting for the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978). O'Hara, Candy, and Dan Aykroyd started work on Second City Television's sketch comedy program (1976-1984). O'Hara received critical acclaim for her comedic acting and writing abilities and was awarded an Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writer for an episode of a Variety Series in 1982. O'Hara, Steve Carell and Dwayne Colbert were included on the Second City artistic board in 2022.
