Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn (born August 19, 1965), is an American actress from the United States. Her role as the main character on TNT's crime drama The Closer as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson is her most well-known. In her role as Johnson, Sedgwick won a Golden Globe Award in 2007 and an Emmy Award in 2010. The series ended following its seventh season. Sedgwick is also remembered for her role as Madeline Wuntch, on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was nominated for an Golden Globe award in 1995 for her role on Something to Talk About. Sedgwick's film appearances include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's Solos (1992), Heart and Souls (93), Phenomenon (2000) and What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). She was also in The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick is the daughter Patricia Rosenwald and is an educator, family therapist, venture capitalist as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VII, a speech therapist. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was Episcopalian who was of English origin. Sedgwick has identified herself as Jewish and has said that she is a part of Passover seders.
